I really never thought that I would do such a thing, but I do not think that I would because just the feeling of being someone else just bothers me. The reason why is because what if the other person gets bullied. I would not want to be bullied. Have you ever been bullied. The feeling of being bullied is a horrid one. I have been bullied one time in my life, and it is not very amusing, or funny. If I had to had to wake up in someone's body I probably would wake up in Sinjins body because he is a funny person. Also he is one of my best friends. That is why I would or would not wake up in someone else's body. If I really had to be in someone else's body.
Good thoughts. Just think though, if you woke up in the person's body that was the "bully", perhaps you could change their views on things. Maybe do work to change them on the inside. Who knows, just a thought. But, Sinjin is indeed a funny person. I'm sure you would have fun spending a day as him. Great job.

Hey MJ, I am so sorry about you getting bullied. A kid in my division in flag has been trying to put me down and just be plain mean since Spring 2014. If I had that option I probably would try it once to see what it's like. And I would switch places with my mom. I would do so because her life seems so hard and stressful. I think it would be a good learning experience because I would learn to aporeciate my mom more and really understand how hard her life really is. I think it would be hard in the moment but great when I look back at it and relize that I have an awesome mom. So, I would probably do it but I'm not sure how I could pull it off as being my mom. She is very fun and loving and I don't know how to be like her. She has a very distinct personality so it would be hard. If I could choose any other person besides my mom it would pea ably be my little sister. She gets whatever she wants whoever she wants(most of the time). I think it would really to be treated like a little child again. I would also be able to get all the attention and be adorable without even trying. So that's probably what would happen if I switched places with somebody.
It was nice to read that you would want to be your mom. I think the points you made are excellent ones. Appreciating the life that she leads, the stress and pressures, are a very good thing to learn. Parents work very hard for their children to give them the love, support, food, shelter, toys, etc. that they need and want. Your mom is no different. If I had the choice of either staying in my own body or swapping with someone else I would choose to just stay in my own body!The main reason for my decision is that I’m afraid if I were to swap bodies with someone that I would do something that would mess up that person's entire life!Like say if I were to swap into a stranger’s body, I would not know what to do so I would just go on with my daily routine,possibly doing something to mess up their lives.Many people would probably switch into a rich person’s body or maybe their favorite singer to see what it is like to perform on stage.But I would rather keep things just the way they are.Therefore, I would not want to wake up in someone else’s body.Plus,I like the way i am and would feel out of place in someone else’s body.

As I sit thinking about who I would want to be, I think I would want to be my grandmother on my father’s side. Her name was Sybilla Kurtz, and she was born in 1924, not long after the Great Depression. The world was still recovering from that terrible situation when she was born. Her family struggled to make end’s meat, but worked very hard to give her and her sisters everything they needed. She met my grandfather, William Dutton, while he was home for leave during World War II. They married in 1944, but he was deployed again to Germany not long after the wedding. Fortunately, my grandfather did survive the war, although, he came home with many terrible experiences under his belt; one of which being that he was a soldier that landed on the beach in Normandy. Once he was home, they had 2 sons, and lived on a farm that bred and raced racehorses all over the country. My grandmother worked on the farm, was a wonderful mother to her sons, and a wonderful husband to my grandfather. Unfortunately, it was not the easiest of lives. The farm was hard work and the horses were very demanding, but she loved the horses and loved the life she worked so hard to preserve. In 1980 my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer, so they decided to sell the farm and moved to Brunswick, Georgia. Life didn’t get any easier for either of them. My grandfather had a job down there for the Army as an engineer. He enjoyed his job very much. My grandmother didn’t work because she was too ill. The cancer had spread, and she ended up with bone cancer. She died in late winter, 1984 at 59 years old. I am sure you are wondering why I would want to come back as a woman who struggled throughout her life, and eventually died of cancer...well, she was the kindest, sweetest, selfless, most loving woman I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She would read me stories and sing to me whenever we were together; we were inseparable when I was younger. I would like to come back as my grandmother to know what life was like back then. I would love to live on a farm, and experience the life journeys that she experienced. I would love to see life through her eyes and try to understand and appreciate everything she went though. I think that if given that opportunity, I would appreciate the wonderful things I have in MY life and the luck that I have had. I live a life without many struggles, and I am truly blessed.

Hmmm? I have never thought of this. But, I honestly would be myself, just switch to be an adult. People always tell me, stay a kid as long as you can. But I don’t like getting bossed around and having to do what everyone tells me to do. Because if I don’t do what I am told to do I get in trouble. While I am an adult I can have a bit more freedom. I want to grow up and be a lawyer or a vet and go home to the house that I picked and walk in to be greeted by the puppy that I picked out and eat what I want. While I am a kid, I have to agree with my siblings on what to eat, and we all picked my dog out ( I’m glad), and live in the house that my parents like. I also don’t have a say on how we decorate the house. I also want to be that person that can pick my vacations out. I could travel the world and go where I want. I can also pick out my location of my house. So if I want to have my house in the Caribbean, I’ll have it in the Caribbean. I hope you agree with me. If you do please tell me or reason with me on why I shouldn’t. But as of now, I love who I am, I just wish I was older!

I must agree with others have told you, "Stay a kid as long as you can." Although being an adult sounds wonderful, there also comes a tremendous amount of stress with that "Adult" job. Be careful, I can see the positives but don't misconsept what adulthood is really like. A lot of it is work to preserve something small. And a lot of it is too much money for my liking.
I agree & do not agree. Sometimes I wish I was older, but then I think about some things. If we have never gone to college (we are 11) and have no experience with the real world. Who knows. You might not be able to pay for this house in the Caribbean. Or you may not be able to pay for everything that you need for a dog. Being an adult has its ups and downs!

If I could wake up in the body of someone else, I would probably pick Hailey McCallum. I would pick her because she is a really nice best friend, plus I could be tall for a day instead of being short. I would also get to be a student of my favorite teacher again for a day, Mr. McLellan! Plus if they were learning something I already learned, while I make Hailey look really good, and not have to learn what I’m learning in normal class for that day.
Since Hailey and I are on the same bus I could look at how I would be dressed for that day with Hailey picking out my outfits. If I was mad at Hailey I could make her look silly to prank her but I probably wouldn’t and couldn’t since I’m not that great at pranks. If I were able to switch bodies with someone else, I would. I would pick Mark Zuckerburg, the youngest billionaire currently alive. Then, I would get plastic surgery to look like my plain old self… but with 44 billion dollars more. I could replace some organs with fake ones and make the telomeres that keep our dna safe bigger, so I wouldn’t die or age. Like usual, I would use the money to my advantage and buy whatever I want. I’ve been trying to convince my parents to help me make chems, or fictional drugs from Fallout 4, without the addiction. Since they said no, I will just get the top scientific minds in the field to make it for me. Just for an extra little trinket, the scientists will make a functioning vault 111 jumpsuit. If I could change bodies with anybody I would pick J.K. Rowling. If you think it because I’m a Harry Potter fan you are wrong. I was became aware of her because the series. I choose her because she lives in England, has the accent , and has worked with amazing actors in the Harry Potter series. She worked with my favorite actor Emma Watson I watched her in so many films. In my opinion she wrote an amazing series and to have the feeling I wrote that story for a day would feel amazing. Having the fame(trying not to sound greedy or rude) would be a dream come true. Having all the adoring and caring fans following me around would make feel so special inside I would be so over joyed. The coolest part is she is making a movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. I would love to be part of making one of her creations. I would be so so happy if this could happen.

If I could wake up in the body of someone else tomorrow, I definitely would. Have you ever wondered what is going on in someone’s head? If I had the chance to know I’d wake up as my best friend. I could know what my friend thinks of me that’s good and what my friend thinks is bad about me. Then if I could ever be back to myself again I’d work on what my friend thinks that’s bad about me. Maybe that could create a better friendship? Plus if I were to be in my friend’s head I could know the secrets that my friend won’t tell me. I feel a devilish grin coming on. If I could swap my body I wouldn’t, I’d stay in my own body. I would stay in my own body because I love my life. I love my mom, dad, brother, dog, hamster, all my cousins, and all my friends. But if I was forced to switch my body with someone else I would switch with my best friend Kyle. I would want to be Kyle because he is super funny and nice and goes on vacation to a lot to amazing places. One place he goes sometimes is Canada to zipline. It sounds like a lot of fun. He also has a boat that I have gone on before and it is so much fun. On time we went to see a firework show on a boat and when we were driving back a firework went off right above us.His family is already like a second family and is so nice. Other than that though I would stay in my body.

Staying in my own body is ok I love my life but I have a sense of adventure! You know the feeling you get when its completey safe but okay maybe not always but that can't stop me or anyone!
If I were able to wake up in someone else’s body for the day, I don’t think I would chose to do so. The reason being that it would be hard to function. I have thought about this many times. Let’s say you wake up in a mother’s body. Guess what- you have children and responsibilities to take care of. If I woke up in one of my friends body, I wouldn’t have the same mother or father or brother. I would also maybe know some things I wouldn’t like to know. If my friend feels like she doesn’t like me or another one of my friends, I would be so ad and sad to know that they pretend to be their/my friend! If I were to be someone famous, I would have so much laid on me at once! I might have a show to do; maybe I would have to sing in front of thousands of people. Maybe to sing a song i don’t know. Overall, it would be scary.

I really liked how you didn't choose just one example. The thought of being multiple roles as a mother is stressful! Having to look over kids work hard and make sure everyone is at peace is hard.
I would wake up as somebody else, why? simple, I would do whatever crime I wanted. I could eat junk food all day, rob the bank or blow all my money on a new car. The main reason people don't do these things is so they don't want to suffer the consequences, If you're someone else you won't have to suffer anything. Now, I would probably pick anyone because to me it wouldn't matter. I would have the same goal no matter who I was. I wouldn't be different to me because I would just do the same thing anyway. Why would I do this though? Because the freedom to do whatever you want gives you know limits. I could pick a rich person and buy and play any game I never got. I could pick the owner of McDonald's and eat a bunch of junk. And, when I was back to my normal self, I would have no problems. That is, if we returned to our normal self. If we didn't, I would probably pick Mj to see the world through different eyes.I could see how to improve myself, and I could see other things in life that he sees. Also, I could gain all of his knowledge and become a genius.

I would have a heart attack if I woke up in someone else's body, but I never really gave this thought, but I would not want to wake up in anyone else's body but mine. It just seems so weird to even think about it. I would not want to swap bodies with anyone else because I like my life and would not want to swap it with anyone else and take their life. First of all I think that's ungrateful. We should be thankful for what we have. That's why I would not want to swap bodies with someone.

If i were to wake up as another person It would be my aunt Bethy. She is in the army and I would want to see what its like.I think it would be confusing,tough, and irritating.Mostly because the sergeants are rude sometimes, army time is different than regular time and, the training is hard.On the other hand I would have no idea what to do.Army soldiers usually have routines and have to be at things at certain times and i would know none of that.They are also very strict which would be scary.I am such a clutz they would have to yell at me all day.I think it would also be fun to learn drills,practice self defense, and most importantly sleep.My aunt always tells me about the scary things that happen in the army, for instance when people talk back to the sergeants they get yelled at very harshly.She also tells me the good things that happen ,like on some days the head people play music on the speakers .Waking up in someone else s body would be scary ,but it really makes me think.
I think that choosing your Aunt is a very noble thing. I know that I could NEVER survive the Army! I am not too embarrassed to say that the Army would completely break me!! I am no where near physically, mentally, or emotionally to handle that type of intense training. I'm sure she is a pretty amazing woman. Great job!

It would definitely be interesting to wake up in the body of a dog. I suppose it would depend on who's dog it was because some animal owners are not the best people. I know that if I could wake up in MY dog's body, I know I would have a great life! My dogs are spoiled rotten! Great ideas!
Switch with a pet would be pretty cool with all the perks no school, no work, annd being taking care of 24/7. Shea sounds like a nice dog. It pretty cool what dogs an do that humans can't like you said do what every they want.

Another reason why, because my dad is a cop. Im always intrigued about how the jail looks and the people in there that did bad things. He Strives to make me better at sports and still tries dab. When im in his body I will wake up at 2am and drive to Elizabeth. Also, I would need to do his job and deal with bad people that try to kill you on a daily bases. So with no doubt I would be in my dads body. Without him I will be lost In my life. Finally, when im in his body in would make sure to run his arens. I would make sure when he gets back in his body he will be set for his day and have no issues. And say to myself thank you for every thing. So that's who I will switch bodies with.
I'm very happy to read about the appreciation you have for your mom. It is a wonderful thing to appreciate your parents. I also think that choosing a family member is a tribute to your family. It is nice to know that you have so much respect for them all. Great Job!
I really never thought that I would do such a thing, but I do not think that I would because just the feeling of being someone else just bothers me. The reason why is because what if the other person gets bullied. I would not want to be bullied. Have you ever been bullied. The feeling of being bullied is a horrid one. I have been bullied one time in my life, and it is not very amusing, or funny. If I had to had to wake up in someone's body I probably would wake up in Sinjins body because he is a funny person. Also he is one of my best friends. That is why I would or would not wake up in someone else's body. If I really had to be in someone else's body.

DeleteIf I had that option I probably would try it once to see what it's like. And I would switch places with my mom. I would do so because her life seems so hard and stressful. I think it would be a good learning experience because I would learn to aporeciate my mom more and really understand how hard her life really is. I think it would be hard in the moment but great when I look back at it and relize that I have an awesome mom. So, I would probably do it but I'm not sure how I could pull it off as being my mom. She is very fun and loving and I don't know how to be like her. She has a very distinct personality so it would be hard. If I could choose any other person besides my mom it would pea ably be my little sister. She gets whatever she wants whoever she wants(most of the time). I think it would really to be treated like a little child again. I would also be able to get all the attention and be adorable without even trying. So that's probably what would happen if I switched places with somebody.

DeleteAs I sit thinking about who I would want to be, I think I would want to be my grandmother on my father’s side. Her name was Sybilla Kurtz, and she was born in 1924, not long after the Great Depression. The world was still recovering from that terrible situation when she was born. Her family struggled to make end’s meat, but worked very hard to give her and her sisters everything they needed. She met my grandfather, William Dutton, while he was home for leave during World War II. They married in 1944, but he was deployed again to Germany not long after the wedding. Fortunately, my grandfather did survive the war, although, he came home with many terrible experiences under his belt; one of which being that he was a soldier that landed on the beach in Normandy. Once he was home, they had 2 sons, and lived on a farm that bred and raced racehorses all over the country. My grandmother worked on the farm, was a wonderful mother to her sons, and a wonderful husband to my grandfather. Unfortunately, it was not the easiest of lives. The farm was hard work and the horses were very demanding, but she loved the horses and loved the life she worked so hard to preserve. In 1980 my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer, so they decided to sell the farm and moved to Brunswick, Georgia. Life didn’t get any easier for either of them. My grandfather had a job down there for the Army as an engineer. He enjoyed his job very much. My grandmother didn’t work because she was too ill. The cancer had spread, and she ended up with bone cancer. She died in late winter, 1984 at 59 years old. I am sure you are wondering why I would want to come back as a woman who struggled throughout her life, and eventually died of cancer...well, she was the kindest, sweetest, selfless, most loving woman I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She would read me stories and sing to me whenever we were together; we were inseparable when I was younger. I would like to come back as my grandmother to know what life was like back then. I would love to live on a farm, and experience the life journeys that she experienced. I would love to see life through her eyes and try to understand and appreciate everything she went though. I think that if given that opportunity, I would appreciate the wonderful things I have in MY life and the luck that I have had. I live a life without many struggles, and I am truly blessed.

DeleteHmmm? I have never thought of this. But, I honestly would be myself, just switch to be an adult. People always tell me, stay a kid as long as you can. But I don’t like getting bossed around and having to do what everyone tells me to do. Because if I don’t do what I am told to do I get in trouble. While I am an adult I can have a bit more freedom. I want to grow up and be a lawyer or a vet and go home to the house that I picked and walk in to be greeted by the puppy that I picked out and eat what I want. While I am a kid, I have to agree with my siblings on what to eat, and we all picked my dog out ( I’m glad), and live in the house that my parents like. I also don’t have a say on how we decorate the house. I also want to be that person that can pick my vacations out. I could travel the world and go where I want. I can also pick out my location of my house. So if I want to have my house in the Caribbean, I’ll have it in the Caribbean. I hope you agree with me. If you do please tell me or reason with me on why I shouldn’t. But as of now, I love who I am, I just wish I was older!

Then, I would get plastic surgery to look like my plain old self… but with 44 billion dollars more. I could replace some organs with fake ones and make the telomeres that keep our dna safe bigger, so I wouldn’t die or age. Like usual, I would use the money to my advantage and buy whatever I want. I’ve been trying to convince my parents to help me make chems, or fictional drugs from Fallout 4, without the addiction. Since they said no, I will just get the top scientific minds in the field to make it for me. Just for an extra little trinket, the scientists will make a functioning vault 111 jumpsuit. I would not need my phone pip boy anymore because the scientists would program an authentic one with a sick black paint job. Why would you pick to switch bodies with anyone else?

I choose her because she lives in England, has the accent , and has worked with amazing actors in the Harry Potter series. She worked with my favorite actor Emma Watson I watched her in so many films. In my opinion she wrote an amazing series and to have the feeling I wrote that story for a day would feel amazing. Then if I could ever be back to myself again I’d work on what my friend thinks that’s bad about me. Maybe that could create a better friendship? DeleteI think that sometimes it would a very cool thing to know what other people were thinking. The problem would be...what if they are thinking things that you don't agree with? Then I think it would be a major issue. Hmmm. makes me think. Great ideas.
DeleteIf I could swap my body I wouldn’t, I’d stay in my own body. I would stay in my own body because I love my life. I love my mom, dad, brother, dog, hamster, all my cousins, and all my friends. But if I was forced to switch my body with someone else I would switch with my best friend Kyle. I would want to be Kyle because he is super funny and nice and goes on vacation to a lot to amazing places. One place he goes sometimes is Canada to zipline. It sounds like a lot of fun. He also has a boat that I have gone on before and it is so much fun. On time we went to see a firework show on a boat and when we were driving back a firework went off right above us.His family is already like a second family and is so nice. Other than that though I would stay in my body.

DeleteStaying in my own body is ok I love my life but I have a sense of adventure! You know the feeling you get when its completey safe but okay maybe not always but that can't stop me or anyone!
DeleteIf I were able to wake up in someone else’s body for the day, I don’t think I would chose to do so. The reason being that it would be hard to function. I have thought about this many times. Let’s say you wake up in a mother’s body. Guess what- you have children and responsibilities to take care of. If I woke up in one of my friends body, I wouldn’t have the same mother or father or brother. I would also maybe know some things I wouldn’t like to know. If my friend feels like she doesn’t like me or another one of my friends, I would be so ad and sad to know that they pretend to be their/my friend! If I were to be someone famous, I would have so much laid on me at once! I might have a show to do; maybe I would have to sing in front of thousands of people. Maybe to sing a song i don’t know. Overall, it would be scary.

DeleteI really liked how you didn't choose just one example. The thought of being multiple roles as a mother is stressful! Having to look over kids work hard and make sure everyone is at peace is hard.
DeleteI would wake up as somebody else, why? simple, I would do whatever crime I wanted. I could eat junk food all day, rob the bank or blow all my money on a new car. The main reason people don't do these things is so they don't want to suffer the consequences, If you're someone else you won't have to suffer anything. Now, I would probably pick anyone because to me it wouldn't matter. I would have the same goal no matter who I was. I wouldn't be different to me because I would just do the same thing anyway. Why would I do this though? Because the freedom to do whatever you want gives you know limits. I could pick a rich person and buy and play any game I never got. I could pick the owner of McDonald's and eat a bunch of junk. And, when I was back to my normal self, I would have no problems. That is, if we returned to our normal self. If we didn't, I would probably pick Mj to see the world through different eyes.I could see how to improve myself, and I could see other things in life that he sees. Also, I could gain all of his knowledge and become a genius.

DeleteI would have a heart attack if I woke up in someone else's body, but I never really gave this thought, but I would not want to wake up in anyone else's body but mine. It just seems so weird to even think about it. I would not want to swap bodies with anyone else because I like my life and would not want to swap it with anyone else and take their life. First of all I think that's ungrateful. We should be thankful for what we have. That's why I would not want to swap bodies with someone.

ReplyDeletethe sergeants are rude sometimes, army time is different than regular time and, the training is hard.On the other hand I would have no idea what to do.Army soldiers usually have routines and have to be at things at certain times and i would know none of that.They are also very strict which would be scary.I am such a clutz they would have to yell at me all day.I think it would also be fun to learn drills,practice self defense, and most importantly sleep.My aunt always tells me about the scary things that happen in the army, for instance when people talk back to the sergeants they get yelled at very harshly.She also tells me the good things that happen ,like on some days the head people play music on the speakers .Waking up in someone else s body would be scary ,but it really makes me think.

DeleteIf i were to jump into someone elses body i would choose my dog Shea. I would jump into her because she doesn’t have to go to school. Yes i love school and all my teachers but i would just like to see what it would be like. Also, she doesnt have to do chores! I would do anything to go without chores. My chore list also got increased which i am not happy about! I mean sure she does get to do almost everything she wants, But, my life is pretty great too. I really love Shea and want to see what her life consists of. I think it would be mad cool. Soon i hope to come across a magic genie to grant my wish of jumping into my dogs life. ReplyDeleteIf I were able to wake up and be in someone else’s body I would chose it to be my mom. I would pick my mom because she is the best and I think her life would be fun to live. My mom is a great person and she is so fun, exciting, and interesting. Being able to live that would be like going to a fairy land or a carnival. While I am in her body I will probably visit those places too! This is really amazing of how we think of these things. But if I couldn’t be her I would be someone in my family. Dead,alive or an animal, otherwise I wouldn’t want to be anyone. I mean it’s not that I have a thing against people it’s just that my family is mine. I would also most definitely not want to be a criminal. I can’t wait to see what you wrote.
If I could wake up to be in anyone's body in the world it would be my dad. I would want to do his because he is a super nice person and can always cheer people up. Another reason why, because my dad is a cop. Im always intrigued about how the jail looks and the people in there that did bad things. He Strives to make me better at sports and still tries dab. When im in his body I will wake up at 2am and drive to Elizabeth. Also, I would need to do his job and deal with bad people that try to kill you on a daily bases. So with no doubt I would be in my dads body. Without him I will be lost In my life. Finally, when im in his body in would make sure to run his arens. I would make sure when he gets back in his body he will be set for his day and have no issues. And say to myself thank you for every thing. So that's who I will switch bodies with.
