I wonder if a person owns a piece of land, does she own it to the core of the earth? I mean sure, there is piping and sewers, but does that make it theirs? In my opinion, the person owns the lawn and a bit under, or until they hit piping, sewers, caves and so on. The reasoning behind this is that the pipes are government property and not to be dealt with publicly. The caves could be claimed and the sewer is town property. After that it would be to hot to do anything with the land and I’m sure no one wants to own that. Also, we dig all the time and not get arrested for doing it, so shouldn’t we have the rights to set our boundaries? That may be too problematic for people. Maybe each state should set a boundary for the locals and have them decide what to do with it. This question got me really thinking.
Interesting, I asked my grandmother and mom the exact same thing and they both replied, you own the surface of that land and the surface only.I on the other hand believe that you do in fact own it to the core. The reasoning behind this is because we claim land and then destroy it but get in trouble for destoying or digging at someone else's land.
Good point, Ana! Under most of the East Coast we have an aquafer. This is were we get most of our drinking water. If people claimed land down to the core, how would we make our own water. You could have well, which does dig down into the earth, but you are not allowed to own them in the cities. There is no room.
Wow Ana! Very interesting! It is true that we own only the surface of land, however, it is also true that we dig (without a permit) and bust a pipe below the surface of “our land” it could be a major issue! I only hope that when your children’s children are old enough to own land, that there is still some land here to own! Great job!
If I owned land to the core I would go to the core of the Earth (If it was possible, but it's not) and see if it really is just lave. The dangers of digging though, is hitting pipes, but their is a solution. My mom works with an oil tank removing company and they know it is illegal to dig with out calling NJ one call before you dig. She calls for a utility mark-out before removing an oil tank. They spray paint were the pipes and electrical wires are so they can dig safely around them.
I don't exactly know, because if you were to own it to the core, like everybody else, that would be so much property to the core you would get a tiny slither. The slither would be to tiny to be of use. It would be interesting to put your slither to use though. What a unique thought Ana.
I agree with Sinjin. You wouldn't get a lot of use out of it. It would also be a great idea to make a boundary limit or law to how much ground you get. Great question it really made me think about it.
If you owned land down to the core it would probably be too much to take care of. Therefore i think you wouldn't own it to the core. So, pretty much what I am saying is you would probably just own the surface. But everyone has different opinions!
Very good job that blog made me think hard about that topic. It would probably cost over a trillion dollars to own the core of the earth. My uncle owns a couple acres in Maine and he only owns 30 feet down the earth. I believe you will need government permission to at least try to own the core.
I agree. The sewers and caves are all owned and used to make money in some form. From tours to water supplying. People wouldn’t exactly need all that land from the surface to the core, but I bet greedy monsters would.
Ana that is a very interesting. I believe you own part of the land under your house because some people have basements and use them all the time. Another reason is when a pipe or anything else breaks under your house you are responsible for the damage and have to pay for it. When it gets to the point where you can’t do anything with it then you no longer own that part under your house.
I agree with you Ana, we should own our land to the core. Nobody else should own it, we should be able to dig up that land to the core, and not get in trouble for doing it. Great job, you did great on your blog, it had my mind thinking. I also think how many people would do that if they had the chance to?
I wonder if someone simply walked up to you and said i have one million dollars for you, what would you do with it? Sure, most people would probably just accept it and spend it on useless things, but I’m not talking about those people. I’m talking about the people who actually take time to think about what they would use it on or how they would spend it? My personal response being that I am only 11, would most likely be either save it in a bank account for college or donate some to charity and use the rest to help pay for a house for my mother and I. But, many people might have different responses than i personally do. Honestly, I think that some people might agree with me.But of course, we have those people who value themselves more than their loved ones! These people are simply selfish. Then we have people who are simply to kind. They will give most or even all of it to charity. What kind of person are you?
I personally don’t agree with you. I would refuse to take the money because i’d think it was a scam. It’s not everyday someone comes up to you and gives you one million dollars.
I would spend it the way the way that you did. There is not much that an 11 year old would need to purchase at this point in time. If I save it, I would be able to use it for more important things in my future.
This is always a question I ponder myself! I would LOVE to receive a million dollars, and feel that I could do many wonderful things with it! I would like to believe that I would be well-rounded in my spending: from college, mortgages, savings, and taking care of family, to donating to those less fortunate and in need. But… I guess it’s good to have dreams!! Great job!
I agree with you hailey some people would spend this cash on useless toys and junk that we really don't need. Better people would spend it on college or give some to charity. These people in life are courageous and kind.
This is a question that I have seen in many places. Like you said, I am 11 so I would be simply lost. I would probably have a breakdown in public. I am still deciding who I am.
Great idea, but with what Ana said at first I would think it was a scam. If I thought of that soon enough I would look around to see if anybody was around. If there wasn't I would probably run to my parents, if they weren't right behind me already. If there was I wouldn't take it. But, if I did I would probably what you did save up for all the things we will need when we get older.
Hmmmmmm… good one. For me, it depends on who is offering that kind of money. If he or she appears to be pour or homeless, i’d say that the dealer should keep it. If rich, I would patiently ask if it would have an effect on them. If not I’d hit donations and give every cent except for five-hundred dollars. What would I do with the rest? Well I’d save it until my wallet over flew. Saving every penny would give me more of a boost for the rest of life. So I’m going to say I’m kind but sometimes I could be selfish.
I wonder what would happen if we were the first to come onto earth and we had to start from scratch. When land was first discovered they had to fend for themselves and create a way of life, but if people like us started the world how different would things be? What if walking was scooting around everywhere & we lived in trees? Everything we know would be different! Many different things could have happened. It is not something we spend too much time thinking about, but maybe it would have been if our generation had started our way of life. What if money was not even needed. If we started earth with no money would our world be more peaceful? We might have just shared everything. That could lead to some wars, too. We are a generation of Ipods, smart phones, and all things technology, would people be alright without having these things? Everything would be SUPER different and I might not know the people who are closest to me! Would Earth still exist or would we have blown it up in some crazy war?
I always like the question “I wonder…” because it tends to lead many people’s minds to odd places! It’s hard to figure out what life would be like without the things that we have now. I had a Great Aunt that was born in 1912 and lived to be 98. I always enjoyed talking with her because the changes that she had experienced throughout her life… from no cars to jet planes, no phones to cell phones, etc. She lived through the Great Depression and many wars. I makes you wonder… how many changes will we live through to be able to tell our grandchildren about?? Super job!
Good question were would we start out? would we all be spread out over the world? I know that the state borders would be different so would the country lines or maybe we wouldn't make borders! just think hi could become figfig!
I would be difficult for the most part. But as talented and crafty kids we would probably get used to it. As my teacher, Ms. Stoltz, says " We need to ADAPT."
Sometimes i ask the question how would we live our lives and start out in this world. Some people say dinosaurs were the first living things on earth. Does that make them aliens? If we were the first things to step foot on earth would that make us aliens? i guess we will never know!
I’m sure we would get around the same way we do today. It may be weird to think that our walking could be scooting, but if it were really our way of doing things, it would be normal for us. We would all survive, like we are today. If we didn’t know about ipods, smart phones, or computers, we would strive like people from the early 1900s.
Hmmmm...I honestly don't know if we would make it. We are called children for a reason. Adults take on more jobs and responsibilities because of their experience and wisdom. They are stronger than us, physically and mentally, that’s why I am not currently a Navy S.E.A.L, labels, ages, how others look at you.
That would be quite interesting, I wonder how many things we would come up with as the first people. Pretty much every great idea we had was history! If we were he first people on Earth life we be very different as we know it. You did an excellent job Nia.
I personally was confused on this piece.Did you mean all of the sudden one day we would have to start from scratch. Or did you mean that when we were born the world would be like it was thousands of years ago?
I wonder if it is truly possible to “change the world” as only one person? So often, people will use the phrase “we can change the world, one person at a time,” but I am curious if that is something realistic or not so realistic. I would like to think that if you make a positive impact on someone that you are making a small change in the world, but it seems that there are so many larger issues that our society is dealing with. Can one person make enough of a difference to change the world? I suppose the question is completely hypothetical, but my personal feelings: I hope to be a positive, friendly, helpful, encouraging, and inspiring person to those around me. I hope that I live my life building those around me up, not tearing them down; I hope to be filled more with positive thoughts and optimism than negative thoughts and pessimism; I hope to influence people to be better people than they were the day before. I suppose that it is difficult to believe that one person could change the world, but I hope to make enough of a difference in one person’s life to change THEIR world.
I feel this term is not so realistic. I feel you would need many people to "change the world". Well maybe you can pick up trash off the beach, if that is making a difference. But, maybe you can do more!
I most definitely think that people can change the world.Maybe a single person cannot but maybe if people come together and work as a team we can change the world!Others may not agree but this is how I feel.
I usually blown the "one person at a time" part off. But, I've come to realize certain people can change. Helpful people. I wouldn't worry, you are definitely one of those people, you make all the difference to me.
In some ways I can find this realistic. Because if somebody is a good role model to somebody else. People will follow you and more people will follow that person and this will continue. But that is just how I feel.
That’s a good question. Maybe, but it would be hard. The world is a big place and there’d be one of you. That question takes quite a bit of thought. I’d honestly say that it could be possible. A strong voice and determination can get someone a long way.
I believe that you can NOT change the world itself. However, you can easily change SOMEONE'S world. Say you become someone's BFF for life, you changed their world. If change everyone's world on Earth, ten perhaps yeah, you have changed the world!
Mrs. Dybas- I think that is a quote just for inspiration. It is definitely impossible to change the whole Earth at once. I think that this was made mostly to inspire.
You can't just say I'm going to change the world today. You need to get a group of people to join you. then you need to make your thoughts aware to other people and hopefully people will listen
I do believe one person can change the world, but it depends who is the person. If it was just a random person, I wouldn’t think they could change the world. But everyone and anyone can go past the limits, the sky isn’t the limit you can go higher!
I do believe one person can change the world, but it depends who is the person. If it was just a random person I wouldn’t think they could change the world. But everyone and anyone can go past the limits, the sky isn’t the limit you can go higher!
I wonder what would happen to the world if we had no laws. I know this question is asked a lot, but do you ever get into a deep thought about it? I think if we had no laws our world would be a living nightmare. I think this because anyone at all could kill you, and nobody would care. People would lose lives without their family and friends having the feeling that the person who did this is paying for it. Another thing is there are no need for police because there are no laws to enforce. Lots of people have jobs as police officers. Without this job people would go without a job and not making any money. Another reason is that people think the law against littering is nothing , but really if we didn't have that law we would destroy our ecosystem. If we destroy our ecosystem we get rid of the plants, pollute the water, and ruin the soil for growing plants. If we get rid the plants we are destroying the oxygen we are getting. Polluting the water makes it not drinkable. Finally ruining the soil would destroy the plants we use for oxygen and we wouldn't be able to grow food for us to eat. We need food to live. I really hope our world never comes to this.
Man, I would not like to live in a world with no laws! Long before any of us were born there weren't any laws! I'm talking about hundreds or even thousands of years ago. People had to invent laws. I think that laws were not a thing eventually someone would create them.
The idea of living in a world without laws is a scary thought! Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some laws that I don't agree with, but to not have ANY laws... YIKES!! I think we would live in a world of complete and utter chaos! Great Job!
Without laws the world would be terrible and a place no one would really want to live. Laws are an important part of the government. They tell people not to make the wrong decision.
A world without laws! Well I truly think that the world would be chaos! Because there are many bad people in this world. So personally I do not like the thought of this.
If there were no laws, the world would be chaotic! I would like to think our laws won't go away. If this were to happen, if someone is doing something wrong, you would not be able to say "you are breaking the law!".
I think that the world would slowly start to be destroyed before our very eyes!!!! Like you said families would lose many people in a matter of days we wouldn't be able to keep up with it! In a matter of days everything we have come to know and love would be gone!
Annalisa- this world would be crazy! People would be murdering people, kidnapping, stealing, hacking etc. and we wouldn’t even care! It would be disastrous!
I don't really know what to say about this world, considering it would not last long at all. This world would be blown up and shot up quick. Although because this world has no laws, so you could be a vigilante.
Living in a world without laws would definetly total chaos. If the world was to come to this, then life has a very good chance of ending quickly. You did excellent on your comment Annalisa, great job!
I wonder how authors get their ideas from stories, whether they are inspired by someone else, or from a whole school. Or, maybe it is straight out of their imagination. How do they make up those ideas? For example, in the “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, how did the author come up with the idea of terrible things happening to three orphans? Did he once see some orphans on the street and felt bad for them? Was he an orphan himself? Or does he just have a very strange mind?
I know some books say dedicated to…., or inspired by:... or in memory of:. At the end of books it says thank you:... helping me along the way. So most likely those people inspired them and gave them ideas to write about. Told them to keep on going and finish writing the story.
I know J.K. Rowling got her idea from a school named Yell. Like in Hogwarts, the school in “Harry Potter”, the Yell school has different houses and you have to say a password to get into each “Common Room”. I am not sure why she choose to write a book related to the school Yell, maybe she attended their herself. Or maybe her child attended that school.
I have always been amazed at how author's come up with their ideas. It is nothing short of amazing! J.K. Rowling has created a series of stories that has intrigued so many readers for quite some time now. Her characters, story lines, etc. are truly brilliant. I will say, Yale University has different "Colleges" for dorms, and it has been said that perhaps she based some of her ideas on Yale. Great Job!
This is a question I ask myself. I think various things come to create a perfect storm in the author's mind. When writing in class I think back to various things I've heard, seen, or done and combine them for a quality story. I think everybody does this whether they like it or not because of the way your brain is wired. Great question John.
It could possibly be imagination or inspiration from another book. Most of my writing I try to relate back in my mind. If I can't think of anything I will make it up. Great Question!
Well maybe some authors get their inspiration from their own life experience. And other authors might just have wild imaginations. But that is a good question.
Most authors are extremely creative! I believe that is why they become famous. So many people may just have random ideas though. I think that it is funny how if someone is creative enough, they can turn a sleeping child into a dancing unicorn. Authors are awesome!
Jack- I believe that most authors see a series of things to get the whole story. It could be a life experience or even something as simple as flipping through tv channels. I’m sure most authors also ask for help along the way, as well.
I love that question because one of my favorite authors, Rick Riordan, the author of Percy Jackson, how did he come up with such an amazing series? Plus it had many Greek facts, that were all completely true, none were a lie! A majority of authors like you said, get inspired, or are a in memory of story, or this person gave me the idea. But, think about the ones who are really marvelous and come up with the ideas! I believe they are the better authors, if their book is very appealing.
I wonder… what my baby brother, Charlie, is thinking about especially around babble-o'clock. We are guessing about his train of thought but no one is one-hundred percent sure what his awkward facial expressions mean. He babbles when he appears to desire something. He smirks when we smile at him or read his thoughts. He cries when he isn’t getting all of the attention.
When Charlie is crying, we struggle to find out what this material consumer needs. We pick him up, feed him, shush him, and even sing little songs. Every so often, he stops sulking and grins. It could be for the funny faces we spoon feed him or that we successfully gave him what he wants. Since we don’t know what he means, we temporarily came up with an alternate voice for Charlie. We act like he says stuff meaning, “I’m gonna eat your face!” or “Nice long nose; mind if I eat it?”
Most of the time, he doesn’t stop crying, so I’m basing this off of the few times he does. Sometimes, I wonder if Charlie even likes us at all. There are times when you look at his face and he gives you a puffy look. I believe that look is supposed to guilt trip you into feeding him. If I know one thing about Charlie, it’s that he loves food.
It has always been a curiosity of mine to know what babies are thinking. They really are bizarre little people, and the faces, noises, and other strange things that they do can leave even the most educated person curious. Sometimes I think that they are making fun of us and the things that we are doing! The only saving grace is that once they get a bit older and start talking, they seem to be understood a bit more! So, be patient. Great job!!
Charles sounds like someone who knows what he has to do in life. But, he seems to be a vague and secretive person. I see why you would wonder what he thinks, there could be some funny material in his mind. He is definitely going to be an interesting and intelligent person when he grows up, much like his older brother. Nice job Brian.
They must be doing something strange like thinking about how we do everything wrong!and how is big kids walk and talk and run and play.they are probably very curious.
Maybe his is thinking about his favorite toy or TV show. Babies still have to figure out there new world because they don't really know that much about it.
It is quite a wonder to know what babies are thinking.I always wondered what my brothers were thinking when they were younger. Now they just say it out loud. So I definitely know what you mean.
Brian, what a great topic! maybe he thinks 'oh these people are smiling i better smile too!" or maybe just are bored and want to get a giggle out of someone. I always wonder what babies think.
Brian- I believe that babies have a communication of their own until they learn what we consider English. The giggles, cries, and gibberish may be their imitation of how they hear us. Maybe all babies, as Mrs. Dybas said, they may be “making fun of us” in a way.
You never really know what babies are thinking. You wouldn't even remember what you thought about as a baby because you would not remember it. I think the best solution is to always think that the baby thinks that you are an awesome genius. If I met Charlie I KNOW (or at least in my mind) that Charlie would think of me as amazing.
I wonder.... What is in the ocean, considering how much of it there is left to see explore and conquer. Humans send down equipment, machinery, and AI but nobody has every seen an exstensive amount of the ocean. There are thousands of videos of creatures from threatening black blobs to little glowing specks. What could be in the darkness of the ocean? Could there be buildings and creations of intelligent life forms, or could there be a creature so big and terrifying we never wondered of it? What if aliens visited our ocean? What if there is so much knowledge hidden down there? There might be answers to evolution history, or future. There could be the answers to mysteries nobody can get there heads around: how was life created and formed. I wonder if there is a superior being down there, that makes and creates the fish. Much like the queen of an ant colony, there could be one ruler that gives birth to the wide variety of awesome sea creatures. The existing possibilities of things that could be down there amazes me. I really ponder what could be actually hidden in the depths of the sea below. We may someday find limited answers, but it will be awhile until we cover the whole ocean. There is so much down there.
your right, there could be something no thought of or something you and I made up. There could be nothing new down there or a fived eyed squirrel that has gills!
You do prove a point. What if there is certain medicine we can use down there for something like cancer. There truly is a whole lot of mysterious materials or even creatures down there. Also, maybe there really can be a city like Atlantis or something like that.
Personally, in my opinion this is a very good topic! Sometimes i will try to research any new creatures or plants that have been discovered. Maybe there is 1,000,000 more species to be found!
My whole life I wondered about the sea realm. In fact, when im older I want a marine biologist. This blog is fascinating and encouraging to explore the earth. Awesome job keep it up dude.
Interesting thoughts! It is hard to believe, with the amount that we already know, that there is still so much that we don't know! I was an ocean lifeguard on LBI for 10 years when I was younger, and the ocean was always a beautiful, yet scary thing to me. You never know what is lurking below the water, and you never know when a strong wave or rip current is going to pull or push you down. Awesome ideas, and I am sure there is a tremendous amount for us to still learn!
Sinjin- I like your question particularly. I (you’ll probably make fun of me for this), believe that there is more intelligent life down below. Maybe our spirits continue own as a different form down under the ocean. Mermaids and mermen can be real!
Ahhhh… I honestly have to agree. There are so many possibilities that could be found down there! Nice job on the writing, that entirely changed my perspective on the big blue sea that I get creeped out of when I touch something sticky, gooey, mushy, hard, sharp, or moving.
This question actually creeped me out a bit! People always say that there may be alien life on another planet. It was never a theory that aliens could be living deep in the ocean. I wonder if they were planning to kill us RIGHT NOW!
I wonder if the world is ever going to end. If one day there will nobody left on this planet. If land would be destroyed and there would be nothing. I wonder if it's true. There could be a zombie apocalypse and everyone disappears or if there is and earthquake and everyone falls underground. Anything can happen, but could this?!? People say in a million years it will happen but I just don't know. It could never happen! Maybe one day there will be all but one person left on this earth. Nobody's knows what can happen or if it's even possible to knock away every living thing on this planet. I think that nothing can break away ever single insect or price of living bacteria. Ther must always be something living around. We just don't know. I wonder if it's possible?!? There is bacteria and prices of matter in everything!! Nothing can knock it out. I believe that maybe one day there will be no humans left but I don't thing there would ever be NO livings things left on this planet. There will always be something living around I think it will always be that way. I also think the shape of the planet and the matter on its land will always be there. The earth wouldn't just dissapear and fall out of the Galaxy. I just don't think that it will ever happen. I wonder if it will?!?
I really like yours. Because the fact that this can happen whenever. But yet nobody know yet. People say that the world is going to end because the sun can explode and destroy the Earth. But I do believe this will happen eventually. Just hopefully not now.
This has been a age-old question. It is hard to imagine the idea of the world ending, but I suppose it could happen. There are so many different theories regarding this very topic. I do believe that IF the world were to end it would be an extremely scary time. I am hopeful, that if this were to ever happen, that it is long after I am gone. Great Ideas!
Mckenna- I personally believe that the world has to end. Every beginning has an end to it. That being said, your theory with the never going to be able to know is quite appealing to me. I find it true; maybe beings in 1,000,000 years will no longer exist and all this effort will be wasted!
You never know. This is something always in the back of my mind. I tend not to venture to it though, because it can lead to grim and depressing thoughts.
Makenna-I really must agree. There are so many ways we could go down! If the movies are true and we get hit with a totally unrealistic sharknado to the polar icecaps melting and flooding the main-land.Great job!
I think that humans will be the ones to end Earth. It wouldn't have been on purpose, but it's happening already! Thanks to pollution we already have the "O-zone" layer! After we go, I believe that something will be around.
I wonder what would happen if all the power in the world ran out. Life as we know it , would change drastically. There would be no electronics , lights , air conditioning etc. for some people . However there will be people with generators. People would probably go crazy. I think there will be a state of emergency . Some people will have to get candles or oil lamps after dark like in the old days. It would be hard for workers that work with computers , they would be unable to use them. The workers would most likely have to write all of their files which would take forever. I would be worried about driving too. There would be no traffic lights or cameras to help control and see what's going on . Without electronics the kids who owned them will probably go outside and play more without their devices. Then again, this effect might not be a bad thing. It will get people to spend time with each other and go outdoors. Hopefully this never happens , But it sure makes you wonder.
That is actually a good question. Because kids these days don't know how to function without a electronic device in their hand. But other then that life would not be that bad because candles aren't bad at all. So life like this without power wouldn't be at all bad.
For everything to just run out, that would be on the powerplants of the world! Without electronics or power how would you cook food? This a question yet to be answered!
I think that's an awesome question! Kids these days are so attached to their electronics and devices that people have no time to play outside and go get some fresh air. It would hard to get used to but eventually would probably being everyone closer together as a society!
Now that's something scary to wonder. Not the fact of playing outside, but we would be vulnerable to terrorist and alien attacks. Also, criminals would have a great advantage, many prisons are electric, and when its goes out, all the doors would be open. There may be some locked, though it's not like nobody is prepared for something like this. Like the positive essay!
Kayla- Stuff like power outages taking the world over? Crazy, but I’m sure there are people ready for it. I’m sure if this ever does happen, the schools will be housing people with shelter and food.
Great thoughts. It is a very real concern all over the world. If you remember after Superstorm Sandy many people in our area were without power for weeks! Of course no one liked the idea of no electronics and things like that, but loss of power also effects heat! Imagine in the middle of winter losing power and having NO HEAT!! BRRRRR!
That really makes you think. Really. If we ran out of power crime would run everywhere and no one would be able to stop it.But, kid would stop being internet trolls still looking for that fifth phone battery they lost last christmas and go outside! But, no one would go outside because of the crazy raiders running about and not want to get caught in the crossfire, so it’s realy comparing apples and oranges. It's almost impossible to pick a side! Nice job!
I believe that it would be hard for adults who work with them. I also believe that it would be a great thing for our generation to learn. We are the generation of all things tech. This would teach us to go outside, and to value nature.
If all the power goes out there will be raiders all over the globe. First, they would rob weapon stores. Then, the will go for medicine. Lastly, the will raid food stores. All out war will break lose. Good job
If the power goes out people would start talking and socializing. But then when people in the military go out to sea they would not be able to commutate with their family
I wonder if people are working on hovering cars, or even made at least one of them! I mean how cool would that be. People would just be driving around on floating vehicles. Everybody always imagines with everything all futuristic and white and everything. People also imagine that most things like cities and vehicles will almost be floating in air. But what if these things or images people have made in their minds are actually coming true. A possibility is that hovering cars will be the start to this. Can you imagine how all this would look like? Floating cars everywhere! I think this would be a cool idea for people to invent this. Hopefully people won’t make these floating cars float too high. That is what I wonder what will possibly happen in the future. Or what already happened and I just don’t know it. That is my “I wonder.”
I have actually imagined this before. In our future I think we will have better technology and electronics. Great job and thanks for making me think again.
I think it would be cool, but it could be really dangerous. People could just drive around crashing into buildings. That would make madness all over the world.
This is a topic I would rather not happen, actually. It would be a hard thing to perfect, so cars may just suddenly just fail and fall from the sky. This could crush people, buildings, and the car may explode. Interesting thought, though.
Hailey- I’m sure people are working on stuff like this. In the future, people will not stop evolving technology. So eventually, stuff like that is bound to happen.
The idea of hovering cars has been around for awhile. I remember a cartoon when I was a kid called The Jetsons. It was about a family that lived in the future, and they drove hover cars! It was a pretty neat concept. As far as knowing whether or not this has been developed "for real" yet... that I am not sure about. Interesting thoughts!
Flying cars would be amazing. Hundreds of years ago people were possibly wondering if a cell phone could become a thing. In around 30 years people will be discussing the future while driving in their floating cars!
Haley, I agree. Hover cars are possible. If you were in science club, you watched a video clip of some guys making a hover car and made a functioning model of your own. However, those people were just people and weren’t exposed to the extreme technology scientists have. Haley, I bet you a million dollars that someone out there is experimenting to bring hover cars and cities to the modern man.
I wonder how the world was made? Thousands of different scientists, people, and archaeologists have many theory's. But which one is true? I am positive no one will find out soon but they will continue to search and eventually find out. Many of them say Ufo’s dropped people off or God created Adam and Eve. They say Adam and Eve were the first humans beside God and his family. People even believe we were living on a giant turtles’ back which had elephants or serpents on it. If people have different theory’s don’t you think they persuade others to believe there’s? They probably made up most of these but they are bizarre and they keep making them up which is making it harder for scientists. I’m not saying you shouldn’t stop believing in what you believe. I’m just saying most of them you don't hear of. What theory do you believe in?
This is quite a toughie. Because evolution I believe is true. But we have no proof that any of these theories are true. Out of all these theories, one of them are true. But yet nobody knows which.
I go to church with Danny, but i still find it hard to believe in God. All the theories just go a little to far for my liking. Who knows? Maybe it has to do with the ocean. *wink wink.
This is a question that people have debated for many, many years. The idea of Creation vs. Evolution. Scientists believe in the idea of Evolution while religious figures believe in the idea of Creation. It is hard to say which I believe in...there are interesting ideas to support both. I am not a religious person, but I do believe in a "greater being." That being said, I don't know which is accurate. Great thoughts.
I personally agree with you. There are so many different theories. We may never find out which is true, but as everyone already has, we can take guesses. Great Job!
Taylor- I personally believe in what all the scientist say. I’m not religious, so I’m not very sure who Adam and eve is. Whoever they are, from what I heard, it doesn’t seem plausible.
I wonder daily about the man known as god. Is he immortal, mythical, or a superstition I just don't know and wish I had the answer. God is the one who started the human race and the diverse animals we have in our world. Everyone in life looks up for god for advice, guidance and help with tasks throughout life. I wonder if he really hears our wishes and prays and takes them into consideration to make our lives better. Without having a god to look up to, It would be hard for people to understand how life and death is about and about if heaven is real. Sometimes I think about what is it like up in heaven. I would imagine it is a beautiful place with white, fluffy clouds and where everyone is an angel and is doing everything that they did not accomplish on earth up there and that god greets you with open arms and welcomes you.
P.S it's Zach baker I did not put my name as user profile name.
I do agree with you. Because I was raised in a family where I believe in God. But that is how I feel. May not be what others feel though. But you did a good job. And I really like this one.
I agree with you 100%. Without God, people would just walk around blindly making poor choices. I always just look up at the sky and wonder if my grandpa is looking down on me.
This is a great topic! we all know God himself created everything, But who created God? god is an amazing figure to look up to. i look up to him myself many times a day!
I think about this topic too. It's a great question and everyone has different beliefs on how he himself was created and if he is even a real thing! I personally believe he is and he always will be. That's a great topic and will really get you thinking!
I once thought he was real, but (this is just a personal thing) he didn't really do anything for me. While you may have some different thoughts, I just feel if he is real he probably doesn't care. It's interesting all the different takes you did on it though, Zack
Zach- My family has a more spiritual take on God. I feel the he himself is more an “it”. It is not a human nor a thing, but more a spirit. In my opinion, science created this world, not a powerful being. I do respect everyone who responded to this comment, though.
I agree with you. I think god made some things in this world. I also believe in god and the bible. Yet in my opinion, God doesn't come through or care like Sinjin said. He is kind of (just) a spiritual person. Interesting blog though.
Interesting thought. I am not quite sure what I actually believe in. I am not a religious person per se, but I do believe that there is a "greater being." I suppose people have to believe that there is a God so that they have something to hold on to. For me, I just try to live life as a good person, and hope, that when it's my time to die, that living that way was enough. Great job.
I also think about what heaven is like often! I believe that he does listen to our wishes. Other people may have other beliefs and that is totally fine.
Nice job Zack! The write brings up a mystery even Einstein couldn’t find out, mostly because there is no evidence. It has a nice clear main idea and question,”What is god, and is he real?”
I wonder if you were to swim out (or boat) into the middle of the ocean? What would happen? Some people's’ first move would be to scream for help. But we all know that is not going to help whatsoever! Maybe we would survive off the yucky salt water and raw fish. But that can be a bad way to turn to. Sure you would whip out your cell phone and dial 911… But guess what?, No cell service! What would you do then? Sometimes i wonder if you would get eaten by a shark, or stung by a stingray! Or maybe you would just be left there to starve. And if you were to boat back which way would you go? If you didn't have a compass you might boat straight into Europe, if this were to happen it's a long way back! I know this will probably never happen but what if you go caught in a fishing net and couldn't get out? Would you struggle to get out, yell for help, or maybe just stay and don't move a bit trying to have some good fortune. How would you solve this tragic disaster? I would like to know everyone's thoughts because this topic has slipped my mind a few times now! I hope you enjoyed my piece. Now that concludes my “I wonder” topic!
I disagree with you because no one would just swim out in the middle of the ocean. Most people couldn't even make it one mile off shore. I’ve been on many different boats before and I know that 9/10 boats have radios that can contact other boats and the coastguard, so you could call for help. All boats also have some sort of compass.
It would be a bad to eat all this disgusting food and water, but we would have to eat and drink to live. Other than that I would probably look for an island. But you never said which ocean. So, IT COULD BE THE OCEANS OF HAWAII! So actually life would turn out nice :).
Legally, I don't think you can go out without a radio. On the other hand.... Not everyone follows the law so, you would die. There is no escaping from that.
Depending if there were sharks in the area if you were to fall over bored you would die. Most of us would die of salmonella poisoning or from starvation. Great job!
That is a scary thought! Although I was an ocean lifeguard for many years on LBI, I am not a big fan of swimming in the ocean alone. I don't like the fact that there are things that you cannot see; it kind of freaks me out. Also, if you were trapped without water, the worst thing you could do would be to drink the sea water. It is salt water and would cause you to dehydrate quicker! Great job!
Natalie- This may sound very brutal, but to put myself out of the pain, probably drown myself. It would be for the greater good. But what if there was a nearby island? I’d definitely try to survive on that.
To be honest, if I was in a situation such as this one I would know that I was about to die. I would rather die a quick death than a slow painful one. This is going to sound bad, but I would rather kill myself than starve to death. This is just my opinion. Great job!
Hmmm… I really don't think I'd survive period, plain and simple. But if my “100 deadly skills” book has taught me anything, # thanks for the book dad, it’s how to survive in open water EVEN with you HANDS TIED BEHIND YOUR BACK! With a boat, even easier!
The worst outcome is to be stranded in the ocean. Evan the most trained survivalists can't survive the ocean. You can drift to other countries, enemy ships/airplanes can attack you. Nice blog.
I wonder when and how the world will end. Many people have predicted and many people have tried to prove their theories on this, but it's almost impossible to actually figure out how the world will end. But I personally think that the world will end in millions of years, by the sun blowing up and wiping out all life on Earth. I also believe that an asteroid the size of the one that wiped out the dinosaurs, (which is also my opinion) , will crash into Earth and wipe out all life as we know it, starting the apocalypse. That's just what I think and you can continue to believe in what you think. I don’t want you to think that I am forcing you to feel a certain way, it’s just my opinion. Feel free to share your thoughts on this, I will be glad to hear what you think.
I agree with you that the sun will explode and the Earth as well as everyone on it will freeze. I personally think that the magma in the ground will leak out and kill everyone and Earth will become the new sun. That is my opinion on this topic. I hope that you will agree with me.
Well, from the ways things look now, we will probably end ourselves. Think- we have not been here long and the world is already polluted. We are the end of us.
some people say their will be an astroid some people say an unknown planet will collide with Earth. To be honest I dont know what to think! But, great ob on the topic i really enjoyed it!
Unfortunately, this is a question that concerns me quite often. I have to agree with Sinjin on this...I believe that we are our own worst enemies. We cause the most damage to the planet, and we cause the most damage to each other! The idea of "living in harmony" is something that we, as a society, can't seem to grasp. I do truly believe that society, as we know it, is in BIG TROUBLE! Great job!
Danny- I totally agree with Sinjin. We will probably end ourselves the way we pollute the air and diseases and what not. That's most likely what will happen.
I do not enjoy thinking about our planets doom, but it is a really good topic. I agree with you on how it will end. If I had a choice I would skip the apocalypse. I would rather die right away that way no form of life would have to suffer.
try not to think how the world will end cause I try to be positive. But when I do I think there will be a ww3 and all countries will nuke each other and the human race will be gone. Good job Danny. "Brian" #FALLOUT4
I wonder what would happen if you’d get arrested for ever little mistake you make. That would change the world you would have to be careful with your choices. So if you were to get in trouble in school you would get arrested. If you misplace an object of yours you’d be arrested for making that mistake. Even if you make small mistakes like tripping, falling, or even bracing Your new phone you just got a few days ago. That would be horrid. Imagine a world like that, that would really stink if you were someone like me that makes a lot of mistakes. You would get arrested every time that you did that. If you don’t make much mistakes, and don’t like the people who make a lot mistakes this would be the world for you. So what would you do if you lived in a world like this would you like it or no.
Many people do get arrested for silly things kind of like this, people just dont understand EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES!!!!! I think people should be a bit more mature and let these little things slide. Good thing we have the judge!
Interesting thought! First of all, I think our jails would be even MORE overcrowded that they are now! But, there are countries that are significantly more strict than we are in this country. I am not sure if that is a good thing, or a not so good thing. I believe with what some of your classmates said in that everyone makes mistakes, but I think that there is a big difference between a mistake, a something that someone had full knowledge of doing but simply after the fact called it a "mistake." I believe that for every action there is a reaction, and people must take responsibility for the choices they make and the things they do. Should people be arrested for every "little" thing...not too sure. Great question.
MJ- This truly would be HORRIBLE. I can’t tell you how many times I would be arrested a day. We are kind of doing this in a way today, though. More and more laws are being put out with the times changing and all.
I would not enjoy a world like this. There is human that is perfect, so we would al be arrested at least once. Plus, this may lead to bullying, "I've only been arrested twice!" or, "Well, the only time I was arrested was spilling juice!" It would not be a good world!
I would not like to be in a world that makes you go to jail for your mistakes. Personally, I make a lot of mistakes therefore I should just live in jail. Good job mj.
I wonder what would happen if more than just humans lived on Earth, as their home planet. Imagine another species like us, but different living on Earth, wouldn’t that be mysterious? Would they try to take over and make us slaves, maybe vise versa. Or would we both just have this constant war all the time. If this were the case would they live their life differently than ours? Who knows they could have their own style of money, houses, jobs, ext. Who knows they could have been here before animals were even alive as we know it. I believe a majority of people would think it is aliens trying to takeover, but what if they just want peace? If I lived on a world with a different species like our I would try to make the least amount of contact with them as possible. What if they lived like us, but were pets to another mother species, then what would life be as we know it.
If another human like species lived on earth I would not trust anyone any more. I would prepare for it like a ww2 bunker to live till I die. It's also cool that the new organisms can be nice, or betray you. Good job
ReplyDeleteInteresting, I asked my grandmother and mom the exact same thing and they both replied, you own the surface of that land and the surface only.I on the other hand believe that you do in fact own it to the core. The reasoning behind this is because we claim land and then destroy it but get in trouble for destoying or digging at someone else's land.
DeleteGood point, Ana! Under most of the East Coast we have an aquafer. This is were we get most of our drinking water. If people claimed land down to the core, how would we make our own water. You could have well, which does dig down into the earth, but you are not allowed to own them in the cities. There is no room.
DeleteWow Ana! Very interesting! It is true that we own only the surface of land, however, it is also true that we dig (without a permit) and bust a pipe below the surface of “our land” it could be a major issue! I only hope that when your children’s children are old enough to own land, that there is still some land here to own! Great job!
DeleteIf I owned land to the core I would go to the core of the Earth (If it was possible, but it's not) and see if it really is just lave.
DeleteI don't exactly know, because if you were to own it to the core, like everybody else, that would be so much property to the core you would get a tiny slither. The slither would be to tiny to be of use. It would be interesting to put your slither to use though. What a unique thought Ana.

DeleteI agree with Sinjin. You wouldn't get a lot of use out of it. It would also be a great idea to make a boundary limit or law to how much ground you get. Great question it really made me think about it.
DeleteThat is actually very interesting.Good question. Definitely gave me something to question.
DeleteIf you owned land down to the core it would probably be too much to take care of. Therefore i think you wouldn't own it to the core. So, pretty much what I am saying is you would probably just own the surface. But everyone has different opinions!
DeleteVery good job that blog made me think hard about that topic. It would probably cost over a trillion dollars to own the core of the earth. My uncle owns a couple acres in Maine and he only owns 30 feet down the earth. I believe you will need government permission to at least try to own the core.
DeleteGreat job Anna! That's very interesting.good thinking!
DeleteThat's a good question. I also think that you only own the surface. When you buy land you pay for length by width, not depth.
DeleteI agree. The sewers and caves are all owned and used to make money in some form. From tours to water supplying. People wouldn’t exactly need all that land from the surface to the core, but I bet greedy monsters would.
DeleteAna that is a very interesting. I believe you own part of the land under your house because some people have basements and use them all the time. Another reason is when a pipe or anything else breaks under your house you are responsible for the damage and have to pay for it. When it gets to the point where you can’t do anything with it then you no longer own that part under your house.
DeleteI agree with you Ana, we should own our land to the core. Nobody else should own it, we should be able to dig up that land to the core, and not get in trouble for doing it. Great job, you did great on your blog, it had my mind thinking. I also think how many people would do that if they had the chance to?
DeleteGood job Ana . I never thought about this before. It would be super cool to own the core ,because therefore you are owning part of Earth.
DeleteI wonder if someone simply walked up to you and said i have one million dollars for you, what would you do with it?
ReplyDeleteI personally don’t agree with you. I would refuse to take the money because i’d think it was a scam. It’s not everyday someone comes up to you and gives you one million dollars.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI would spend it the way the way that you did. There is not much that an 11 year old would need to purchase at this point in time. If I save it, I would be able to use it for more important things in my future.
DeleteThis is always a question I ponder myself! Great job!
DeleteI would give half of the money to charity, a quarter of it to my collage fund, and the last quarter for my own personally use.
DeleteI would probably give it to an orphanage or some kind of fundraiser to raise awareness. It would be great! I would love to receive a million dollars
DeleteLike you said I would save up for college. I don't need many important things right now. But as a kid we love to buy things we don't really need.
DeleteI really like the way you said you would spend it. That would be awesome. It would help a lot to give it to charity.
DeleteI agree with you hailey some people would spend this cash on useless toys and junk that we really don't need. Better people would spend it on college or give some to charity. These people in life are courageous and kind.
DeleteThis is a question that I have seen in many places. Like you said, I am 11 so I would be simply lost. I would probably have a breakdown in public. I am still deciding who I am.
DeleteHard decision. I would probably take it. I would probably buy a bunch of video games.
DeleteGreat idea, but with what Ana said at first I would think it was a scam. If I thought of that soon enough I would look around to see if anybody was around. If there wasn't I would probably run to my parents, if they weren't right behind me already. If there was I wouldn't take it. But, if I did I would probably what you did save up for all the things we will need when we get older.
DeleteHmmmmmm… good one.

ReplyDeleteI wonder what would happen if we were the first to come onto earth and we had to start from scratch.
ReplyDeleteI always like the question “I wonder…” because it tends to lead many people’s minds to odd places! Super job!
DeleteGood question were would we start out? would we all be spread out over the world? I know that the state borders would be different so would the country lines or maybe we wouldn't make borders! just think hi could become figfig!
DeleteI would defiantly not do well! I am not a very crafty person. It would be a mess if I was in charge!
DeleteI would be difficult for the most part. But as talented and crafty kids we would probably get used to it. As my teacher, Ms. Stoltz, says " We need to ADAPT."
DeleteI sometimes wonder that too. Every teacher always says that evolution is how we came here. But is that really true? Or did it happen a different way?
DeleteSometimes i ask the question how would we live our lives and start out in this world. Some people say dinosaurs were the first living things on earth. Does that make them aliens? If we were the first things to step foot on earth would that make us aliens? i guess we will never know!
DeleteWe are a weak generation used to easy life. This would go south quick. We would be dead in a matter of minutes. I hope this doesn't or I will die.
DeleteI’m sure we would get around the same way we do today. It may be weird to think that our walking could be scooting, but if it were really our way of doing things, it would be normal for us. We would all survive, like we are today. If we didn’t know about ipods, smart phones, or computers, we would strive like people from the early 1900s.
DeleteHmmmm...I honestly don't know if we would make it. We are called children for a reason. Adults take on more jobs and responsibilities because of their experience and wisdom. They are stronger than us, physically and mentally, that’s why I am not currently a Navy S.E.A.L, labels, ages, how others look at you.
DeleteThat would be quite interesting, I wonder how many things we would come up with as the first people. Pretty much every great idea we had was history! If we were he first people on Earth life we be very different as we know it. You did an excellent job Nia.
DeleteI personally was confused on this piece.Did you mean all of the sudden one day we would have to start from scratch. Or did you mean that when we were born the world would be like it was thousands of years ago?
ReplyDeleteHailey- It was asking if we were the first people. Way back when earth first started.
DeleteThank you for clearing that up for me! :)
DeleteI wonder if it is truly possible to “change the world” as only one person?
ReplyDeleteI feel this term is not so realistic. I feel you would need many people to "change the world". Well maybe you can pick up trash off the beach, if that is making a difference. But, maybe you can do more!
DeleteI most definitely think that people can change the world.Maybe a single person cannot but maybe if people come together and work as a team we can change the world!Others may not agree but this is how I feel.
DeleteI usually blown the "one person at a time" part off. But, I've come to realize certain people can change. Helpful people. I wouldn't worry, you are definitely one of those people, you make all the difference to me.
DeleteIn some ways I can find this realistic. Because if somebody is a good role model to somebody else. People will follow you and more people will follow that person and this will continue. But that is just how I feel.
Deletei agree with you. Being a good person can reflect off of other people.
DeleteThat’s a good question. Maybe, but it would be hard. The world is a big place and there’d be one of you. That question takes quite a bit of thought. I’d honestly say that it could be possible. A strong voice and determination can get someone a long way.
DeleteI believe that you can NOT change the world itself. However, you can easily change SOMEONE'S world. Say you become someone's BFF for life, you changed their world. If change everyone's world on Earth, ten perhaps yeah, you have changed the world!
DeleteMrs. Dybas- I think that is a quote just for inspiration. It is definitely impossible to change the whole Earth at once. I think that this was made mostly to inspire.
DeleteYou can't just say I'm going to change the world today. You need to get a group of people to join you. then you need to make your thoughts aware to other people and hopefully people will listen
DeleteI do believe one person can change the world, but it depends who is the person. If it was just a random person, I wouldn’t think they could change the world. But everyone and anyone can go past the limits, the sky isn’t the limit you can go higher!
DeleteI do believe one person can change the world, but it depends who is the person. If it was just a random person I wouldn’t think they could change the world. But everyone and anyone can go past the limits, the sky isn’t the limit you can go higher!
DeleteI wonder what would happen to the world if we had no laws.
ReplyDeleteMan, I would not like to live in a world with no laws! Long before any of us were born there weren't any laws! I'm talking about hundreds or even thousands of years ago. People had to invent laws. I think that laws were not a thing eventually someone would create them.
DeleteThe idea of living in a world without laws is a scary thought! Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some laws that I don't agree with, but to not have ANY laws... YIKES!! I think we would live in a world of complete and utter chaos! Great Job!
Deleteburning houses, robberies, murder, and drinking at three years old. that's what the world would be without laws.
DeleteThat would be horrible! I would hate to live in a world like that! It would be a disaster!
DeleteWithout laws the world would be terrible and a place no one would really want to live. Laws are an important part of the government. They tell people not to make the wrong decision.
DeleteA world without laws! Well I truly think that the world would be chaos! Because there are many bad people in this world. So personally I do not like the thought of this.
DeleteIf there were no laws, the world would be chaotic! I would like to think our laws won't go away. If this were to happen, if someone is doing something wrong, you would not be able to say "you are breaking the law!".
DeleteI think that the world would slowly start to be destroyed before our very eyes!!!! Like you said families would lose many people in a matter of days we wouldn't be able to keep up with it! In a matter of days everything we have come to know and love would be gone!
DeleteAnnalisa- this world would be crazy! People would be murdering people, kidnapping, stealing, hacking etc. and we wouldn’t even care! It would be disastrous!
DeleteI don't really know what to say about this world, considering it would not last long at all. This world would be blown up and shot up quick. Although because this world has no laws, so you could be a vigilante.
DeleteThat would be awful. The world would indeed be dangerous and filled with evil. Good write.
DeleteLiving in a world without laws would definetly total chaos. If the world was to come to this, then life has a very good chance of ending quickly. You did excellent on your comment Annalisa, great job!

ReplyDeleteI wonder how authors get their ideas from stories, whether they are inspired by someone else, or from a whole school.
How do you think authors get their insperation?
I have always been amazed at how author's come up with their ideas. It is nothing short of amazing! J.K. Rowling has created a series of stories that has intrigued so many readers for quite some time now. Her characters, story lines, etc. are truly brilliant. I will say, Yale University has different "Colleges" for dorms, and it has been said that perhaps she based some of her ideas on Yale. Great Job!
DeleteThis is a question I ask myself. I think various things come to create a perfect storm in the author's mind. When writing in class I think back to various things I've heard, seen, or done and combine them for a quality story. I think everybody does this whether they like it or not because of the way your brain is wired. Great question John.
DeleteThey must all get the ideas from different things. Maybe personal experiences of a made up fairytale. Who knows, it could be anything?!?
DeleteIt could possibly be imagination or inspiration from another book. Most of my writing I try to relate back in my mind. If I can't think of anything I will make it up. Great Question!
DeleteWell maybe some authors get their inspiration from their own life experience. And other authors might just have wild imaginations. But that is a good question.
DeleteSometimes i wonder this too. Maybe they get their ideas from everyday life stories. I feel so many people wonder this, i know i do!
DeleteMost authors are extremely creative! I believe that is why they become famous. So many people may just have random ideas though. I think that it is funny how if someone is creative enough, they can turn a sleeping child into a dancing unicorn. Authors are awesome!
DeleteJack- I believe that most authors see a series of things to get the whole story. It could be a life experience or even something as simple as flipping through tv channels. I’m sure most authors also ask for help along the way, as well.
DeleteHmmmmm… interesting. I never thought of that. Probably from the people they thank at the end. Good write budy, really made me think.
DeleteI think they get it from things happening around the world. That's how I get my inspiration. Good job keep it up.
DeleteI love that question because one of my favorite authors, Rick Riordan, the author of Percy Jackson, how did he come up with such an amazing series? Plus it had many Greek facts, that were all completely true, none were a lie! A majority of authors like you said, get inspired, or are a in memory of story, or this person gave me the idea. But, think about the ones who are really marvelous and come up with the ideas! I believe they are the better authors, if their book is very appealing.
DeleteI wonder… what my baby brother, Charlie, is thinking about especially around babble-o'clock. We are guessing about his train of thought but no one is one-hundred percent sure what his awkward facial expressions mean. He babbles when he appears to desire something. He smirks when we smile at him or read his thoughts. He cries when he isn’t getting all of the attention.
ReplyDeleteWhen Charlie is crying, we struggle to find out what this material consumer needs.
Great job!!
DeleteCharles sounds like someone who knows what he has to do in life. But, he seems to be a vague and secretive person. I see why you would wonder what he thinks, there could be some funny material in his mind. He is definitely going to be an interesting and intelligent person when he grows up, much like his older brother. Nice job Brian.
Deletethis is a babies daily actions sleep, cry, eat, and stare. they have strange minds but they don't understand us ether.
DeleteThey must be doing something strange like thinking about how we do everything wrong!and how is big kids walk and talk and run and play.they are probably very curious.
DeleteMaybe his is thinking about his favorite toy or TV show. Babies still have to figure out there new world because they don't really know that much about it.
DeleteIt is quite a wonder to know what babies are thinking.I always wondered what my brothers were thinking when they were younger. Now they just say it out loud. So I definitely know what you mean.
DeleteBrian, what a great topic! maybe he thinks 'oh these people are smiling i better smile too!" or maybe just are bored and want to get a giggle out of someone. I always wonder what babies think.
DeleteBrian- I believe that babies have a communication of their own until they learn what we consider English. The giggles, cries, and gibberish may be their imitation of how they hear us. Maybe all babies, as Mrs. Dybas said, they may be “making fun of us” in a way.
DeleteYou never really know what babies are thinking. You wouldn't even remember what you thought about as a baby because you would not remember it. I think the best solution is to always think that the baby thinks that you are an awesome genius. If I met Charlie I KNOW (or at least in my mind) that Charlie would think of me as amazing.
DeleteYou always want to be nice to a baby. they do what you do and you need to do the right thing around them. Good job.
DeleteI wonder....
ReplyDeleteyour right, there could be something no thought of or something you and I made up. There could be nothing new down there or a fived eyed squirrel that has gills!
DeleteThat's a good question! There could be anything down there! Who knows, maybe there a man eating dinosaur or something crazy like that. Good idea!
DeleteThat really had me thinking! I think your right. There could be a monster or giant MEGALODON down there!!
DeleteYou do prove a point. What if there is certain medicine we can use down there for something like cancer. There truly is a whole lot of mysterious materials or even creatures down there. Also, maybe there really can be a city like Atlantis or something like that.
DeletePersonally, in my opinion this is a very good topic! Sometimes i will try to research any new creatures or plants that have been discovered. Maybe there is 1,000,000 more species to be found!
DeleteMy whole life I wondered about the sea realm. In fact, when im older I want a marine biologist. This blog is fascinating and encouraging to explore the earth. Awesome job keep it up dude.
DeleteThanks guys
DeleteInteresting thoughts!
DeleteSinjin- I like your question particularly. I (you’ll probably make fun of me for this), believe that there is more intelligent life down below. Maybe our spirits continue own as a different form down under the ocean. Mermaids and mermen can be real!
DeleteAhhhh… I honestly have to agree. There are so many possibilities that could be found down there! Nice job on the writing, that entirely changed my perspective on the big blue sea that I get creeped out of when I touch something sticky, gooey, mushy, hard, sharp, or moving.
DeleteThis question actually creeped me out a bit! People always say that there may be alien life on another planet. It was never a theory that aliens could be living deep in the ocean. I wonder if they were planning to kill us RIGHT NOW!
DeleteI wonder if the world is ever going to end.
ReplyDeleteI think the world will eventually end. But in a long time, I mean the world will not just suddenly end. Great question!!
DeleteI really like yours. Because the fact that this can happen whenever. But yet nobody know yet. People say that the world is going to end because the sun can explode and destroy the Earth. But I do believe this will happen eventually. Just hopefully not now.
DeleteThe world will probably not end. This is most likely just a myth. BUt you will never know, maybe Earth will collide with an unknown planet! Who knows?
DeleteThis has been a age-old question. It is hard to imagine the idea of the world ending, but I suppose it could happen. There are so many different theories regarding this very topic. I do believe that IF the world were to end it would be an extremely scary time. I am hopeful, that if this were to ever happen, that it is long after I am gone. Great Ideas!
DeleteMckenna- I personally believe that the world has to end. Every beginning has an end to it. That being said, your theory with the never going to be able to know is quite appealing to me. I find it true; maybe beings in 1,000,000 years will no longer exist and all this effort will be wasted!
DeleteYou never know. This is something always in the back of my mind. I tend not to venture to it though, because it can lead to grim and depressing thoughts.
DeleteMakenna-I really must agree. There are so many ways we could go down! If the movies are true and we get hit with a totally unrealistic sharknado to the polar icecaps melting and flooding the main-land.Great job!
DeleteI think that humans will be the ones to end Earth. It wouldn't have been on purpose, but it's happening already! Thanks to pollution we already have the "O-zone" layer! After we go, I believe that something will be around.
DeleteThinking about the end of the world to me means ZOMBIES. I know everything about them and can fight. But I try not to think about that much.
Deletethe world will end! In about 5,000,000 years the sun will die and when it does it blows up wiping Earth out with it.
DeleteI wonder what would happen if all the power in the world ran out.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good essay! As kids I would be hard without electronics but like you sai we can hang out with family more often.
DeleteThat is actually a good question. Because kids these days don't know how to function without a electronic device in their hand. But other then that life would not be that bad because candles aren't bad at all. So life like this without power wouldn't be at all bad.
DeleteFor everything to just run out, that would be on the powerplants of the world! Without electronics or power how would you cook food? This a question yet to be answered!
DeleteI think that's an awesome question! Kids these days are so attached to their electronics and devices that people have no time to play outside and go get some fresh air. It would hard to get used to but eventually would probably being everyone closer together as a society!
DeleteNow that's something scary to wonder.
DeleteKayla- Stuff like power outages taking the world over? Crazy, but I’m sure there are people ready for it. I’m sure if this ever does happen, the schools will be housing people with shelter and food.
DeleteGreat thoughts. It is a very real concern all over the world. If you remember after Superstorm Sandy many people in our area were without power for weeks! Of course no one liked the idea of no electronics and things like that, but loss of power also effects heat! Imagine in the middle of winter losing power and having NO HEAT!! BRRRRR!
DeleteThat really makes you think. Nice job!
DeleteI believe that it would be hard for adults who work with them. I also believe that it would be a great thing for our generation to learn. We are the generation of all things tech. This would teach us to go outside, and to value nature.
DeleteIf all the power goes out there will be raiders all over the globe. First, they would rob weapon stores. Then, the will go for medicine. Lastly, the will raid food stores. All out war will break lose. Good job
DeleteIf the power goes out people would start talking and socializing. But then when people in the military go out to sea they would not be able to commutate with their family
DeleteI wonder if people are working on hovering cars, or even made at least one of them!
ReplyDeleteI have actually imagined this before. In our future I think we will have better technology and electronics. Great job and thanks for making me think again.
DeleteWow hailey! What a topic, maybe in the way future we will have these legendary vehicles! I hope people get their heads thinking and get to work!!!
DeleteScientists should start working! I would love o drive around in a flying car! Great job hailey!
DeleteI think it would be cool, but it could be really dangerous. People could just drive around crashing into buildings. That would make madness all over the world.
DeleteThis is a topic I would rather not happen, actually. It would be a hard thing to perfect, so cars may just suddenly just fail and fall from the sky. This could crush people, buildings, and the car may explode. Interesting thought, though.
DeleteHailey- I’m sure people are working on stuff like this. In the future, people will not stop evolving technology. So eventually, stuff like that is bound to happen.
DeleteThe idea of hovering cars has been around for awhile. I remember a cartoon when I was a kid called The Jetsons. It was about a family that lived in the future, and they drove hover cars! It was a pretty neat concept. As far as knowing whether or not this has been developed "for real" yet... that I am not sure about. Interesting thoughts!
DeleteFlying cars would be amazing. Hundreds of years ago people were possibly wondering if a cell phone could become a thing. In around 30 years people will be discussing the future while driving in their floating cars!
DeleteHaley, I agree.
DeleteI wish the future was know. I agree with you I want to drive hover boards like Marty Micfly. Good job and #FUTURE.

ReplyDeleteI wonder how the world was made?
DeleteWhat i think is way back, how were the cavemen created!? I also dont know how God all mighty was created. This question got my head thinking!
DeleteInteresting question! It's got my head spinning with all different theory's! Who knows which one is true!?!
DeleteI live in a family where we go to church every Sunday. I believe that God created everything. But that's just my opinion.
DeleteI go to church with Danny, but i still find it hard to believe in God. All the theories just go a little to far for my liking. Who knows? Maybe it has to do with the ocean. *wink wink.
DeleteThis is a question that people have debated for many, many years.
DeleteI personally agree with you. There are so many different theories. We may never find out which is true, but as everyone already has, we can take guesses. Great Job!
DeleteMmmm… I indeed too wonder how the world was created. But that is a mystery yet to be discovered. Nice job on the write!
DeleteI have many theories how the world was made I just don't know. The world was made from maybe gases and rocks. Good job keep it up.
DeleteTaylor- I personally believe in what all the scientist say. I’m not religious, so I’m not very sure who Adam and eve is. Whoever they are, from what I heard, it doesn’t seem plausible.
DeleteI wonder daily about the man known as god.
ReplyDeleteP.S it's Zach baker I did not put my name as user profile name.
I do agree with you. Because I was raised in a family where I believe in God. But that is how I feel. May not be what others feel though. But you did a good job. And I really like this one.
DeleteI agree with you 100%. Without God, people would just walk around blindly making poor choices. I always just look up at the sky and wonder if my grandpa is looking down on me.
DeleteThis is a great topic! we all know God himself created everything, But who created God? god is an amazing figure to look up to. i look up to him myself many times a day!
DeleteI think about this topic too. It's a great question and everyone has different beliefs on how he himself was created and if he is even a real thing! I personally believe he is and he always will be. That's a great topic and will really get you thinking!
DeleteI once thought he was real, but (this is just a personal thing) he didn't really do anything for me. While you may have some different thoughts, I just feel if he is real he probably doesn't care. It's interesting all the different takes you did on it though, Zack
DeleteZach- My family has a more spiritual take on God. I feel the he himself is more an “it”. It is not a human nor a thing, but more a spirit. In my opinion, science created this world, not a powerful being. I do respect everyone who responded to this comment, though.
DeleteI agree with you. I think god made some things in this world. I also believe in god and the bible. Yet in my opinion, God doesn't come through or care like Sinjin said. He is kind of (just) a spiritual person. Interesting blog though.
DeleteInteresting thought. Great job.
DeleteI also think about what heaven is like often! I believe that he does listen to our wishes. Other people may have other beliefs and that is totally fine.
DeleteNice job Zack! The write brings up a mystery even Einstein couldn’t find out, mostly because there is no evidence. It has a nice clear main idea and question,”What is god, and is he real?”
DeleteI wonder if you were to swim out (or boat) into the middle of the ocean?
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Idk what I would do, probably just swim as fast as I could go! Who knows!? Maybe I would survive.
DeleteI disagree with you because no one would just swim out in the middle of the ocean. Most people couldn't even make it one mile off shore. I’ve been on many different boats before and I know that 9/10 boats have radios that can contact other boats and the coastguard, so you could call for help. All boats also have some sort of compass.
DeleteIt would be a bad to eat all this disgusting food and water, but we would have to eat and drink to live. Other than that I would probably look for an island. But you never said which ocean. So, IT COULD BE THE OCEANS OF HAWAII! So actually life would turn out nice :).
DeleteLegally, I don't think you can go out without a radio. On the other hand.... Not everyone follows the law so, you would die. There is no escaping from that.
DeleteDepending if there were sharks in the area if you were to fall over bored you would die. Most of us would die of salmonella poisoning or from starvation. Great job!
DeleteThat is a scary thought! Great job!
DeleteNatalie- This may sound very brutal, but to put myself out of the pain, probably drown myself. It would be for the greater good. But what if there was a nearby island? I’d definitely try to survive on that.
DeleteTo be honest, if I was in a situation such as this one I would know that I was about to die. I would rather die a quick death than a slow painful one. This is going to sound bad, but I would rather kill myself than starve to death. This is just my opinion. Great job!
DeleteHmmm… I really don't think I'd survive period, plain and simple. But if my “100 deadly skills” book has taught me anything, # thanks for the book dad, it’s how to survive in open water EVEN with you HANDS TIED BEHIND YOUR BACK! With a boat, even easier!
DeleteThe worst outcome is to be stranded in the ocean. Evan the most trained survivalists can't survive the ocean. You can drift to other countries, enemy ships/airplanes can attack you. Nice blog.

ReplyDeleteI wonder when and how the world will end.
-Danny Bacsik
I agree with you that the sun will explode and the Earth as well as everyone on it will freeze. I personally think that the magma in the ground will leak out and kill everyone and Earth will become the new sun. That is my opinion on this topic. I hope that you will agree with me.
DeleteWell, from the ways things look now, we will probably end ourselves. Think- we have not been here long and the world is already polluted. We are the end of us.
DeleteI agree with you. In my opinion, we will die from the terrorists nuking the world. That made me think!:)
Deletesome people say their will be an astroid some people say an unknown planet will collide with Earth. To be honest I dont know what to think! But, great ob on the topic i really enjoyed it!
DeleteUnfortunately, this is a question that concerns me quite often. Great job!
DeleteDanny- I totally agree with Sinjin. We will probably end ourselves the way we pollute the air and diseases and what not. That's most likely what will happen.
DeleteI do not enjoy thinking about our planets doom, but it is a really good topic. I agree with you on how it will end. If I had a choice I would skip the apocalypse. I would rather die right away that way no form of life would have to suffer.
DeleteNice question Danny. No one knows, only hope. So get “prepared for the future”. #FALLOUT4
Deletetry not to think how the world will end cause I try to be positive. But when I do I think there will be a ww3 and all countries will nuke each other and the human race will be gone. Good job Danny. "Brian" #FALLOUT4

ReplyDeleteI wonder what would happen if you’d get arrested for ever little mistake you make. That would change the world you would have to be careful with your choices. So if you were to get in trouble in school you would get arrested. If you misplace an object of yours you’d be arrested for making that mistake. Even if you make small mistakes like tripping, falling, or even bracing
Your new phone you just got a few days ago.
Sorry I put a comment instead of a reply
DeleteBut really this does happen. I truly hate it. But you would have to be careful with lterally EVERYTHING you do
DeleteLook around. The way society is this is already true. You have to be a lot more careful the before.
DeleteThis does happen everyday. People get arrested for little things. You have o be very careful.
DeleteMany people do get arrested for silly things kind of like this, people just dont understand EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES!!!!! I think people should be a bit more mature and let these little things slide. Good thing we have the judge!
DeleteInteresting thought!

DeleteMJ- This truly would be HORRIBLE. I can’t tell you how many times I would be arrested a day. We are kind of doing this in a way today, though. More and more laws are being put out with the times changing and all.
DeleteI would not enjoy a world like this. There is human that is perfect, so we would al be arrested at least once. Plus, this may lead to bullying, "I've only been arrested twice!" or, "Well, the only time I was arrested was spilling juice!" It would not be a good world!
DeleteSorry I meant to say
DeleteThere is no human that is perfect, so we would all be arrested at least once.
Nice write. Really makes you chose a side. I doubt I’d get arrested, except for tests.
DeleteI would not like to be in a world that makes you go to jail for your mistakes. Personally, I make a lot of mistakes therefore I should just live in jail. Good job mj.
DeleteI wonder what would happen if more than just humans lived on Earth, as their home planet.
ReplyDeleteIf another human like species lived on earth I would not trust anyone any more. I would prepare for it like a ww2 bunker to live till I die. It's also cool that the new organisms can be nice, or betray you. Good job
DeleteKatherine- Like Zach, I believe I wouldn’t trust anyone anymore. It would be hard to, though. I would also be very scared.
